Typically, our family waits until after Thanksgiving to put up our Christmas decorations. Tonsils on the tress? Ok, I'll bite... explain! hehe.
As for the "tonsils"... When I was younger, I confused the word "tinsle" with "tonsil." So while it sounded like I was some sick twisted child, I really just wanted to put strands of silver all over the tree.
