Typically, our family waits until after Thanksgiving to put up our Christmas decorations. But when King of Christmas reached out to me in June about a potential partnership, I couldn’t resist the chance to showcase their stunning selection of artificial Christmas trees , wreaths, and garlands .  I was excited to get an early start on making our home holiday-ready this year!

Menu Plan: June 23 - June 29

Were you able to see the supermoon last night? If so, were you plagued with insomnia because of it? No matter what I did, I just couldn't fall asleep. To prevent my restlessness from waking Stephen, who has the blessed ability to sleep through just about anything, I wound up downstairs in the living room watching reruns of Little House on the Prairie until my body finally gave in around 4am.

Coffee is my best friend right now.

But maybe I'm too quick to blame my insomnia solely on the moon. It might have something to do with the pervasive reality surrounding the fact that I still don't have a full-time job after leaving my job in New York back in December.

Don't get me wrong... I love the freelance writing work that I'm doing, and I'm grateful to have these opportunities that push me in new ways and into new directions. It's just that a lot can be said about the security that comes with a steady income.

I'm going to try and push the financial anxieties out of my head today so I can enjoy this gloriously beautiful Sunday before diving right back into reality tomorrow. I have plans with some girlfriends this afternoon, so I'm sure seeing them will help me emerge out of this funk.

For now, here's this week's Menu Plan.

Menu Plan: June 23 - June 29, 2013

Sunday: Leftovers (Portobello Lasagna Rollups from Food Network / Ellie Krieger)
Monday: 10-Minute Broiled Chipotle Salmon Fillets (from Always Order Dessert) and Grilled Asparagus
Wednesday: Stephen's Choice
Friday: Pizza with Spinach and Ricotta Cheese
Saturday: Visiting family in Connecticut

So... what's on your Menu Plan this week?
