Typically, our family waits until after Thanksgiving to put up our Christmas decorations. But when King of Christmas reached out to me in June about a potential partnership, I couldn’t resist the chance to showcase their stunning selection of artificial Christmas trees , wreaths, and garlands .  I was excited to get an early start on making our home holiday-ready this year!

Menu Plan: June 3 - June 8

The last month or so has been a blur. Stephen and I (especially Stephen) have been working ourselves ragged, and we've each spent three of the last four weekends traveling (though, not necessarily together). Because of that, we gave ourselves a much-needed break yesterday by sleeping in, enjoying a leisurely brunch, and spending time with family. To tie in with the theme of the day, we decided to have dessert at one of our favorite local ice cream spots before going through the motions of cooking dinner.

It was a good day.

But, now it's Monday, and it's time to get back to work.

Stephen goes on the road again tomorrow, so I'll be cooking for one for the rest of the week. I was going to scrap menu-planning and just cook and eat on a whim, but I was worried that even the shortest hiatus would pull me off my established routine. Even if I don't follow the plan to the letter, I'll at least have some ideas to work with should I find myself uninspired.

Here's what I've come up with:

Menu Plan: June 3 - June 8, 2013

Monday: Panko-Crusted Salmon with Steamed Broccoli and Buttered Egg Noodles
Tuesday: Grilled Italian Sausage with Sauteed Bell Peppers and Onions
Wednesday: Caprese Salad with Toasted Baguette Slices
Thursday: Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, and Tomato Sandwiches
Friday: Broccoli and Mushroom Pizza
Saturday: Leftovers

What's on your Menu Plan this week?
