Sharing our Menu Plan for March 30 - April 5, 2014
In my perpetual state of busy, I completely missed the fact that I've been sharing our weekly menu plans here on Taste As You Go for more than a year now! Going back through all of the dishes on the meal-tracker spreadsheet was a lot of fun, and I could definitely pinpoint the weeks when I was suffering from a lack of culinary inspiration. On those weeks, I'd just make something I made the previous week or I'd resort to making grilled cheese sandwiches to serve with tomato soup.
Moving forward, I'd like to try something new each week, whether it be a recipe from a fellow food blogger or a recipe I discovered in a magazine. Let's see how well I do!
Menu Plan: March 30 - April 5, 2014
Sunday: Herb-Roasted Chicken Breast with Garlic, Potatoes, and Carrots from 125 Best Casseroles and One-Pot Meals
I was supposed to make this dish last week, but we had so many leftovers in the refrigerator that I didn't see the point of creating even more. Besides, something about Sunday dinner just screams roasted chicken, don't you think?
Monday: Cream-Style Corn Chowder
Stephen will be traveling for work again, so why not use the opportunity to eat some leftovers? Better than cooking for one!
Wednesday: Spaghetti with Butter-Roasted Tomato Sauce and Meatballs
Thursday: Stephen's Choice
Friday: Pizza with Spinach, Ricotta, and Bacon
Saturday: Take-Out or Dinner-Out
I have a get-together with some girlfriends on Saturday afternoon, so I'm going to give myself the night off from cooking.
