60 Ultimate Cookie Exchange Recipes {and When It's Time to End It}

If you're looking for a winning recipe for your holiday cookie swaps, then scroll through this round-up  of 60 Ultimate Cookie Exchange Recipes on Taste As You Go!   Do you ever get That Feeling in your gut when you realize that what once brought you happiness now fills you with dread? You know the one... It's That Same Feeling that causes you to ask yourself repeatedly " Why am I doing this again?" I've been trying to battle that super persistent feeling for the past few weeks by giving myself little pep talks: "Don't give up now. You DO want to do this!"  "Don't you remember how much you used to love doing this? Just keep going!" " Do it one more time and you'll see -- everything will be fine. You'll feel much better once you get it over with." But no matter how many times I tried to get excited about it, I found a reason to avoid doing it. (Thank you, Caroline.) That's when I knew it was time to e...

Menu Plan: April 13 - April 19

Sharing our Menu Plan for April 13 - April 19, 2014

Zoellner Arts Center - Lehigh University - Bethlehem, PA | Taste As You Go

Do you have a special place in your life that you will always consider home no matter how long it's been since you were last there? I'm sure you do... You probably have more than one place that falls under that category.

For me, this spot on the third floor of Zoellner Arts Center on the campus of Lehigh University is one of those places. As a music major and member of several music ensembles, I spent the majority of my time as an undergraduate in this building. In fact, it was our mutual love of music that brought Stephen and I together. It was only fitting that Stephen chose this spot in Zoellner to propose nearly three years ago. As much as I love to joke about the couches being the same, I love that the lounge area still looks the way it does in my memories.

I'm sitting in the lounge right now, desperately trying to finish this post before the start of the Symphonic Band concert, in which Stephen will be performing and conducting. I love how he stays involved with music even after all of these years, and I'm so happy that he makes time for music each spring.

Almost makes me want to dust off my clarinet and join him.... Almost. ;-)

Without further ado, here's our Menu Plan for the week! It's a little sparse due to some travel and the upcoming Easter holiday. But having some type of plan is better than having no plan at all, right?

Menu Plan: April 13 - April 19, 2014

Sunday: No-Plan Sunday

Stephen and I are still completely stuffed from last night's dinner in Philadelphia in celebration of our dear friend's birthday. I don't know if we'll get around to eating a proper meal tonight. The thought of more food right now is making my stomach hurt. ;-)

Monday: Arugula Pasta Salad from Two Peas & Their Pod

Tuesday: Taco Tuesday with Homemade Taco Seasoning

Wednesday: Stephen's Choice

Thursday - Friday: Visiting Family

Saturday: Pizza with Italian Sausage and Broccoli Rabe

I'm still not quite sure how our travel plans will shape up at the end of the week, but if we're home in time to cook on Saturday evening, then pizza will have to do. Or... um, take-out.

What's on your Menu Plan this week?
