Menu Plan: June 28 - July 4
Sharing our Menu Plan for June 28 - July 4, 2015
Mother and Baby Hands |
Stephen and I have been up in Connecticut for the past several days. While he spent the week attending a conference in New Haven, Caroline and I spent some quality time with my family.
I didn't realize how sentimental I would feel about bringing Caroline to my childhood home or about showing her the places and things that meant a lot to me growing up. I found myself narrating story after story, telling her all about the time her mama did this or her mama did that. What a rewarding experience! One that I'm sure to repeat with each subsequent visit we make.
It's also been a true joy for me to see Caroline interact with her grandparents, especially now that she's so alert and intent on learning as much about her surroundings as possible. Plus, her fall asleep in my father's arms has totally melted my heart.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and we're heading back home this afternoon. Back home and back to the routine, which, of course, includes cooking dinner. (We've been so spoiled in Connecticut -- I didn't have to cook once!)
To see what's on deck for dinner for us this week, then keep reading!
