Menu Plan: May 28 - June 3 {and Turning a Corner}

Let me start off by saying thank you to those of you who offered advice after reading my last post. I've taken some time to think about where I want to take this blog (again) and how I want to get there (again).

It's clear to me that I don't want to give up blogging. But I still have to work on not putting so much pressure on myself. As I continue to juggle the various areas of my life, I must accept that the juggling will affect what I can do here.

Here's a taste of what has happened in my world over the past few days:

  • Some of my responsibilities at work have shifted. Somehow, my workload has both lightened and doubled, and that has taken some adjusting.
  • Early last week, I endured a scare related to my pregnancy (more on that later) that took a toll on my emotions. While I'm fine now, I haven't been able to shake off the experience yet.
  • Stephen is in the middle of his busy travel season for work right now. That means I'm handling most of the household- and family-related responsibilities by myself.

Any one of those situations would be enough to pose a distraction from blogging. But I pushed through and managed to get through the week. And, more importantly, I let go of the guilt I was feeling over not blogging.

I gave myself what I needed -- time. Time to focus on work during the day. Time to focus on my health. Time to focus on being a mom and enjoying what little time we have left as a family of three. I even managed to make time just for me.

Doing that allowed some blog items fall into place, including a new brand partnership. (More on that soon!) Things are definitely looking up, and it feels as if I've turned a corner... So, I do hope you continue to stick around. There are some exciting things on the horizon that I can't wait to share with you!
