I know I say this a lot, but I say it because it's true 🤦🏽‍♀️.

This week has been an emotional roller coaster... especially given how closely I've been paying attention to the news. And, with the summer winding down, our lives are a little crazier now... which is, of course, adding to my stress and anxiety.

Thank goodness I have the day off from work today so I can start to regroup. I hope the long weekend gives me the time I need to feel more grounded before we jump into the start of the new school year.

The kids have haircut appointments in a bit. So before we head out to cross that off our list, here's a new batch of Tidbits for you to read when you find the time.

Enjoy! And be well!

  1. I recently finished reading this book, and this one has been sitting on my nightstand, patiently waiting for me to start reading it.

  2. I've talked about my increasing anxiety a number of times. However, I'm finding a lot of comfort in reading this data-driven newsletter written by a high school classmate of mine.

  3. If you're looking for inspiration for your Labor Day cookouts this weekend, then check out this post.

  4. I replaced the turntable we had in our pantry with this one because bottles kept tipping over when we used the old one. The bins included with the new one make a huge difference!

  5. Our son loves the new flatware set we bought for his lunchbox. Although his school has plastic forks and spoons for the kids to use, we like that this option is more sustainable.

  6. We don't do Elf on the Shelf in our house, but this might interest those of you who do or those of you thinking about starting this coming Christmas.

  7. These jar lids are way more convenient when using mason jars for pantry storage. I also have a set of wide-mouth lids, too. Game-changing.

PS. With everything going on, I want to give myself a little pat on the back for something I did this week. I started Christmas shopping for the kids. Way to go, Mom!

What do you want to give yourself a pat on the back for?
