Typically, our family waits until after Thanksgiving to put up our Christmas decorations. But when King of Christmas reached out to me in June about a potential partnership, I couldn’t resist the chance to showcase their stunning selection of artificial Christmas trees , wreaths, and garlands .  I was excited to get an early start on making our home holiday-ready this year!

What's for Dinner: January 2 - January 8

Happy New Year, everyone!

It feels good to be back blogging after taking a couple of weeks off [minus this post]. I had most of that time off from work, too, so I'm starting 2022 in a better place, both mentally and emotionally.

Our New Year's Eve was quiet, something I think our whole family needed. We grazed on snacks for the better part of the day and, to our surprise, we all made it to midnight! This is the first year we let the kids stay up late on New Year's Eve... and, I have to say, it was a lot of fun to see them so excited.

Especially as they watched our 2021 Recap Reel on repeat.

January 1st was gray and drizzly in our little corner of Connecticut. It would have been easy to stay in our pajamas all day. But I wanted to get a jump on my goals for the year and proposed a family hike. Despite the mist, we all had a wonderful time and can't wait to do it again.

I have a bunch of fun content planned for this month and can't wait to share it with you. In the meantime, let's celebrate the triumphant return of our weekly menu plan posts! Keep reading to see what's on deck for dinner at our house this week!
