What's for Dinner: October 23 - October 29

After the stress of last weekend, I was very grateful for a weekend with nothing on my calendar. Instead of running around, things were much quieter.
I spent some time getting our house back in order after weeks of neglect. (It's not perfect, but it's much better!) And I finished making our daughter's Halloween costume... with more than a week to spare!
As satisfying as all that was... my favorite moment of the weekend was celebrating a major accomplishment. Our family went out to dinner last night, and we raised a toast to my being free of student loan debt!
Last summer, I set an aggressive goal to pay off my remaining loans -- approximately $21K -- by December 2022. Thanks to MAJOR discipline and a VERY strict budget, I did it. 🙌 I made my last loan payment last month and crushed my goal three months ahead of schedule.
It feels incredible to have eliminated this financial burden. With the blessing of my financial advisor, I'm going to enjoy this feeling through the end of the year... and I'll jump into the next phase of my financial plan in early 2023.
