Our Summer Bucket List

Our Summer Bucket List | See our list of family-friendly summer activities on Taste As You Go!

My husband and I have been so busy at work that summer just snuck up on us this year. Thankfully, things are finally winding down and we can focus on other things... like family... and taking time to relax.

We all sat down last night and wrote out our Summer Bucket List of activities we want to do before school starts up again (and before our son starts kindergarten!).

Using our first Summer Bucket List as a starting point, we added the items we didn't have time to do last year. Then we added some of our favorite activities from last summer and came up with a handful of new ones to try.

We know we probably won't get to do everything on our 2022 Summer Bucket List. But it'll be a great guide as we start to fill in the time around the kids' summer camp schedules.

Curious to see what made our Summer Bucket List this year? Need some inspiration to help you create your own?

  • GO TO A TEAHOUSE FOR A TEA PARTY

  • MAKE HOMEMADE ICE CREAM - The kids and I made this no-churn cake batter ice cream last year, and it was a hit!

  • HAVE AN ICE CREAM SUNDAE PARTY - Everyone voted to do this again because we had so much fun last summer.

  • GET FALAFEL AT MAMOUN'S - While the kids have had homemade falafel before, they've never had it from Mamoun's. It. Is. Time.

PS. I wouldn't have made it through the past several weeks if I hadn't made the decision to take a break from blogging. Now that work has calmed down, I'm hoping to write a little bit more over the summer and, of course, resume our weekly menu plan posts. Stay tuned!
