It's the final Friday of 2022, and I'm popping in to share one more Tidbits post for the year.

It's been a somewhat quiet week for me. When I wasn't driving the kids to playdates and a birthday party and a drop-in art camp, I made sure to relax. My husband and I even had a chance to spend some quality time together, just the two of us.

This has been deliberate... because as soon as we flip the calendar to January, life is going to get busy again. The kids and I go back to school/work and my husband will be off on his first work trip of the new year.

Before I jump into it, I want to thank you all for continuing to read and support Taste As You Go. I appreciate you and can't wait to share more in 2023!

Until then, here's the latest Tidbits post. If you find yourself with a spare minute, I hope you give this latest edition a read over the weekend!

  1. Upon recommendation from a friend, we gave our 7yo this game for Christmas to help her learn how to play chess. It's been brilliant so far... and the game is designed so well, our 5yo is learning how to play, too!

  2. Santa also delivered on her request for a "real kitchen knife", and she helped my husband prepare Christmas dinner.

  3. As far as our 5yo is concerned, this beverage set for his play kitchen is a new favorite toy.

  4. As is this smoothie set. My husband and I have gained at least 20 pretend pounds because we've been asked to try all the different smoothies.

  5. I've started reading a new book.

  6. I'm working on setting up my bullet journal for the new year and can't wait to share my focus word for 2023. If you're curious, here are the posts that share previous focus words.
