As the weather warms up here in New England, it's the perfect time to give your wardrobe a little spring refresh. After months of layering up, our favorite basics—like tee shirts and tank tops —can start to show signs of wear. Whether it's stretched-out necklines, faded colors, or mystery stains that just won't budget, spring is the ideal season to replace those go-to pieces. As moms, we're so focused on taking care of everyone else that it's easy to overlook our own needs. But something as simple as replacing a few well-loved pieces can be a form of self-care —reminding us that we deserve to feel comfortable, confident, and put-together, too. Tidbits

  1. When I turned 39, I created a 40 Before 40 list, and one of the things on that list was "hire a financial planner". This article illustrates some of the reasons why this was so important to me.

  2. I recently dragged convinced my family to go with me to the mall so I could attempt to do something about the sorry state of my spring wardrobe. (Online shopping hasn't been too successful for me lately, so I wanted to actually try stuff on before buying.)

I picked up this maxi dress (and the same one in black). These will look great with my classic denim jacket and my new sweater blazer.

    It's a start.

  3. While we were there, I snagged some new polo shirts for my son because he needed some new shirts for school. I let him pick them out, and he went with this striped polo (and the same one with a shark design) plus this ribbed polo.

He's going to look quite stylish!

  4. Looking forward to putting these sustainable bubbles in the kids' Easter baskets.

  5. I bet they won't want to wait to try this with their sidewalk chalk.

  6. If I found these egg filler tokens sooner, I might have put this idea to the test this Easter. Oh well... There's always next year!

  7. My avocado-loving son is going to love this growing kit.
