Now that we're nearly through the gauntlet of family birthday celebrations, I'm starting to look ahead to Christmas.
Every conversation with the kids offers an opportunity to follow clues to possible Christmas gift ideas, and I find myself walking through each room of the house and making a mental wish list of new holiday decor I want to buy.
When King of Christmas reached out to see if I wanted to continue the partnership we established last year, I said yes right away. They were such a pleasure to work with when it came time to find holiday decorations for the fireplace in our study, and I loved how the Royal Fir Collection 4-Piece Set with Warm White LED Lights looked in the glow of the fire.
I considered the spaces in our home that needed a little extra love at the holidays and set out to find something festive to display in our mudroom. Since is the first space anyone sees when they enter our home, I wanted to it be decked out, too.

On a regular day, the mudroom is a work in progress. We haven't done much to the space after we had the interior of our house painted last year, so I thought it would be fun to find something to dress up the top of this cube storage unit.

It would have been very easy to order the exact same tree.
But I wanted something with some texture, so I landed on this artificial table-top Christmas tree because the burlap at the base gives it some more visual interest.
The 3' King Noble Fir Tabletop Tree is three (3) feet tall and pre-strung with 70 UL warm white Micro LED lights.

Conveniently, the tree can be powered with a traditional plug or can be hooked up to a battery pack. Since there's an outlet right behind this storage unit, we plugged it into wall rather than connecting it to the battery pack (see below).
The battery pack requires three (3) D batteries, which aren't included... and which weren't where I thought they were when I went looking for them in the kitchen.
Thank goodness for options!

The artificial tree features a blend of realistic and classic needle tips, and the tree height includes the tree stand.
Even though the tree ships with its branches and needles collapsed, it's designed so the tree can be shaped right out of the box. This make for a quick set-up!

In fact, the tree is so easy to set up, I entrusted our 10yo to get the job done. She did a great job making sure the branches were positioned just so.

When I pulled the tree out of the box, the burlap that was wrapped around the tree stand was already fraying. Not a huge deal because I can trim some of that off, but still... it wasn't quite the look I was going for.
And the battery pack?
It had scratches all over it... Again, not a huge deal because the packs are meant to be hidden, but it did make me scratch my head a little bit.

Overall, we love the new addition to our King of Christmas collection and can't wait until we really decorate the house for the holidays to see how it all comes together!
If you’re looking to elevate your holiday decor this season, I recommend checking out King of Christmas... especially since they're running a Christmas in July sale on artificial Christmas trees with up to 50% off!
