Typically, our family waits until after Thanksgiving to put up our Christmas decorations. But when King of Christmas reached out to me in June about a potential partnership, I couldn’t resist the chance to showcase their stunning selection of artificial Christmas trees , wreaths, and garlands .  I was excited to get an early start on making our home holiday-ready this year!

Last Sunday, I published our weekly menu plan post in the early afternoon. I felt pretty proud of myself and thought I had discovered the secret to blogging on the weekend.

Silly, Michelle.

Last Sunday was totally a fluke.

Before I get too upset with myself... I have a solid list of good reasons why I'm back to my regular late-night blogging schedule, including:

If you're curious to see what's on deck for dinner at our house this week, then keep reading!

A Week of Dinners: July 25 - July 31

  • SundayLinguine with Shrimp Scampi

This recipe from Ina Garten has become a family-favorite. Since I've made it a bunch of times now, I can tell you that I use a full pound of pasta, extra garlic, the zest from a whole lemon, and closer to 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice. I also skip the slices of lemon because they make the dish harder to eat for the kids.

  • Monday: Big Salad Night with Maple-Dijon Vinaigrette

This time, our salad will have mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, and bell pepper. I'll also serve diced avocado and hard-boiled eggs on the side for those who want it.

    Oh! And croutons. Because carbs.

  • Tuesday: Ground Turkey Taco Night with Homemade Taco Seasoning

  • Wednesday: Leftover Night

Update on July 27: We don't have enough food in the refrigerator for Leftover Night (!), so we'll be grilling two types of chicken sausage (sweet apple and spicy chorizo) and serving it with corn on the cob and grilled sweet potatoes. Thank goodness for our freezer inventory!

  • Thursday: Spicy Sesame Noodles with Diced Cucumber

  • Friday: Dinner Out

  • Saturday: Dinner Out

What do you have planned for dinner at your house this week?
